The TRUTH about Doughboy Above Ground Pools

Doughboy is known as the oldest above ground pool manufacturer. 

TRUE. Doughboy Pools also has the largest manufacturing plant in North America proudly located in the great state of Arkansas. 

They also make an expandable liner deep end pool. 

TRUE. You will find an inground quality liner in every Doughboy Pool, with or without a deep end. Doughboy liners are made from pure vinyl materials at the Doughboy factory in Arkansas, not reprocessed materials from China. There are no other liners that can compete with the strength and quality of a Doughboy liner.

Over the years, the above ground pool industry has made many innovations such as aluminum walls and solid resin rails. 

BEWARE. Many pool owners have had trouble with pitting and corrosion within a few years of owning an aluminum wall pool. 

Doughboy Pools are still made out of steel rails and steel walls. 

TRUE. However, Doughboy offers resin as well. 

Expandable liners do provide a deeper pool, but it stretches the liner out, requiring more frequent replacement.

The deep end hole is also made out of just dirt and sand, which becomes uneven over time. 

NOT TRUE. Doughboy pools have the same bottom as all other above ground pools. Doughboy is the only above ground pool manufacturer that offers a pool strong enough to have a deep end. Burton Pools & Spas provides all the materials needed for the pool floor to the customer unlike many competitors. 

You can also buy a 54” flat bottom pool if you want a pool that’s deeper, but doesn’t hurt the pool over time. 

TRUE. Doughboy offers 48”, 52”, and 54” flat bottom pools and deep end pools which is the widest range of pool depths available on the market.

Lastly, Doughboy requires liners and other after-market parts to be purchased from them to maintain the warranty… 

NOT TRUE. Doughboy doesn’t sell any after-market parts. Doughboy manufactures all their own components and their valuable Doughboy Dealers carry a full line of genuine replacement parts to service all pools and accessories. 

…which means you have to pay a lot more. 

NOT TRUE. Doughboy has a lower lifetime cost than any other pool.
